HITSA A/S sold to CROWD BV.

2. September 2022

HITSA A/S has been sold to CROWD, one of Europe's leading suppliers of urban furniture.

Den Sociale Kapitalfond Invest January 2018, Invest became the largest shareholder in HITSA, which is based in Kolding as a leading supplier of urban furniture with operations in Denmark and Sweden in particular, but also in selected other countries. HITSA is a very ESG-responsible company, where social responsibility in particular has been in focus for a long time. In recent years, 15-20% of the employees in the Danish organization have been employed from the margins of the labor market.

In 2018, Den Sociale Kapitalfonds Invest invested in HITSA, which took over the company VEKSØ and since then the development has been significant: The two organisations have been integrated with a new common address in Kolding, production has been streamlined, product development and sales to Denmark as well as Sweden have been strengthened, while HITSA has developed its social responsibility and general ESG efforts. On this basis, the company has achieved strong results and today stands on a very solid foundation – with continued good growth opportunities.

CROWD, which has a European growth plan, sees the acquisition of HITSA as the best possible platform for entry and further growth in the Scandinavian market. CROWD already has a high degree of focus on ESG – and sees it as a significant strength that HITSA has a strong ESG profile, including a particular focus on social responsibility. HITSA will continue with the same management as before and as an independent company in the CROWD group.

At Den Sociale Kapitalfond Invest we thank you for a very good collaboration and look forward to following developments in the future.
