Nyborg Municipality has been the first on Funen to enter into a close collaboration with the Carelink Group and Den Sociale Kapitalfond Effekt to rethink the way in which they help unemployed people find jobs.
This means that standard solutions are parked in favor of more individual courses. The objective of the investment is to strengthen citizens’ attachment to the labour market in a sustainable manner.
A total of 120 citizens in Nyborg Municipality who are currently on sickness benefits or registered as unemployed will be part of the effort. A proportion of the target group has had repeated periods of illness and unemployment, which may mean that the citizens have lost, or to a lesser extent had the opportunity to build, motivation and belief in their own abilities in an employment context.
The citizens of the initiative are offered a career counsellor for two years. The goal is to achieve a strengthened and trusting relationship between citizen and counsellor and to give citizens a greater belief in their own abilities. The career counsellor can support in connection with job changes and any change of industry and create a more manageable process for this. The career counsellor also offers larger and sparring when the citizen has found a job, which they continue to do throughout the project period if the citizen wishes.
