Søren most recently served as Head of Employment Services in Randers Municipality, where he led the work of translating political decisions into sustainable solutions across strategy, finance, and operations – from developing new initiatives and business cases to implementing them close to citizens. He therefore brings deep insight into municipal decision-making processes and collaboration between public authorities and external providers – in terms of governance, professional practice, and citizen-facing operations.
“I have spent the past years leading an area where we balance finances, professional quality, and people every single day. Now I get the opportunity to build a bridge between municipal realities and private capital – and ensure that municipalities only pay for the interventions that actually work. It’s about freeing up resources in the welfare system by paying for documented results instead of activity,” says Søren Sneftrup.
Søren lives in Aarhus, which strengthens Den Sociale Kapitalfond Effekt’s foundation for partnerships with municipalities and regional actors in Jutland.
“Søren combines a deep understanding of the municipal ‘engine room’ with a sharp strategic and analytical mindset. Municipalities often face situations where there is not enough capacity for both operations and development, and this is where we see social impact investing as a way to create that capacity – responsibly and data-driven. With Søren on the team, we are even better positioned to design models that create better outcomes for citizens and healthier economies for municipalities,” says Alexander Bjerregaard-Nielsen, Partner at Den Sociale Kapitalfond Effekt.
We look forward to working with Søren and to his important contribution to the continued development of Den Sociale Kapitalfond.
