What is a cookie?

A cookie is a small data file that is stored on a user's computer in order to recognise the computer. A cookie is a passive file that cannot collect information on your computer, nor spread computer viruses or other malware.

Some cookies are placed by other parties (third parties) than the party in the address bar (the URL bar) in the browser, for example when a video from Vimeo, YouTube or a map from Google is embedded. This means that cookies from parties other than the owner of the website will be stored.

Some cookies are only stored on the user's IT equipment for as long as the user's browser is open (session cookies). Other cookies are stored for a longer period (persistent cookies). When the user revisits a website, new session cookies will be placed, whereas persistent cookies will typically be renewed.

Cookies on densocialekapitalfond.dk

On densocialekapitalfond.dk, we use a pair of technical cookies for our editors and to distinguish users from one another. Moreover, the system behind our website places a cookie (has_js) which tells us whether your browser supports javascript. These cookies are stored on your computer, tablet or smartphone for from 24 hours to 2 years, whereas other cookies are deleted automatically when you close your browser.

We use the traffic analysis tool Matomo to monitor visitors' use of our pages. We have decided not to have the option to recognise revisits, and therefore we do not use cookies. Information about individual visits will be saved on servers which only we and our system supplier have access to. This information is only used to make reports on the use of our website.

We show videos from Vimeo on our website. Vimeo places a cookie that we cannot deactivate. So if you use our website, you also accept these cookies. Vimeo uses cookies to learn about how much the videos are played.

We show some videos from YouTube. YouTube sets a cookie that we cannot turn off. YouTube uses cookies to track the use of the video and target marketing. Before playing the video, we therefore ask for consent for these cookies to be set. You can read more at YouTube's Privacy Policy.

Our website can include pages with embedded posts from Facebook, Twitter or Instagram, and Google Maps on our portfolio page. In connection with embedment, cookies are placed so that these social media services can trace the specific pages you visit.

How to reject use of cookies

You can set your browser so that it will not store cookies on your computer. However, note that you may not be able to use all of the website's features if you do so. We hope that you will allow our cookies, because they help us to improve our pages.

How to delete cookies

You can always delete cookies that have been stored on your computer.

You can read more about cookies and the rules on cookies in the Executive Order on Cookies on the Danish Business Authority website.
