Talented startups chosen to Impact StartUp 2021

First, there were 30 and then they were 11. The panel of judges in Impact StartUp has chosen startups to participate in the 18 months long accelerator program with developmend of the financial and social bottom line.

 11 danish startups are chosen to the Impact StartUp Denmark 2021 program. 

The 18 months long program is in full swing and the next program with new companies begins in the beginning of 2021.

The companies receives help with, among other things, business development, support for development of commercial and social potential, invester contact etc. 

Den Sociale Kapitalfond is behind the program in Denmark, while similar programs are done in Norway, Sweden and Finland. Impact StartUp Denmark is supported by Industriens Fond.

The 11 stratups are: 

Plata is a sharing economy service that wants to help solve societal problems in personal finance. Plata is a credit intermediary where private individuals can lend/refinance expensive debts to each other and where Danes have the opportunity to combine high returns on free capital in the bank account. At the same time, the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) on financial inclusion and economic growth for all citizens are supported. 

MoreMemo is a 100% remotely operated solution for people with dementia and their relatives. When everyday life and the smartphone have become too difficult, you can now still share photos, make video calls and keep track of the calendar in a clear way – even if you cannot be present all the time. 

PRECURE helps companies and employees prevent pain and consequences of musculoskeletal disorders (MSD). PRECURE's digital solutions provide the user with personal AI-based feedback on their muscle load and the company gets an online overview in a dashboard. Thus, both individual and organizational reasons are addressed, which can help prevent attrition. PRECURE currently has a solution for the elbow and has a prototype for the lower back. 

Mewalii develops the most sustainable, soon 100 percent disposable, menstrual pads on the market. The aim is that they should be 100 percent free of plastics and harmful chemistry, and that they should be sortable as organic waste. Mewalii will make it easy for women to act sustainably as well as eliminate the taboo in society around menstruation. 

Syncsense develops digital therapy to prevent and treat inactivity and age-related diseases. Using sensor technology and Virtual Reality, they transform boring exercise equipment into exciting virtual nature experiences that give patients a breathing space and increase their motivation for movement. 

InnoSocial creates social insight through digital solutions. With data collection and artificial intelligence, InnoSocial can make effect and progression measurements on the social efforts that municipalities and associations work hard to realize. They offer both processing and analysis of existing data as well as of the data created when the digital solutions are used. 

Manigrip has developed the ergonomic product Wini, which using patentable technology can help people who experience challenges in holding small or narrow objects such as cutlery, pencils or toothbrushes.

Legacy Sustainability is here to stay! But many companies do not know where to start. Legacy helps companies calculate their carbon footprint month by month so they can compare their baseline with the average for their industry and set goals for how they can save money and meet increasing sustainability requirements.

GDV Technology has created Careturner; a unique reversing system for care and hospital beds that prevents pressure ulcers, saves ressources and increases the comfort of care patients. The programmable box that controls the moving wings makes it possible to turn care patients automatically, saving caregivers many hours of work and heavy lifting. Careturner is the only product that can replace both ac printing mattresses and reversing systems in one solution.

Healper is an online booking platform where you are matched with the psychologist to suit your challenge, personality and other factors that increase the chance of chemistry between psychologist and client.

Elevaid helps educational institutions identify which students are dissatisfied and need help – even when they are sitting at home behind the screen. In addition to an intelligent well-being tool, Elevaid also offers online advice from graduate students in psychology. In this way, you can get help from a homely and safe environment when you are difficult. Elevaid's mission is to help young people with personal and social problems so that they are best placed for a good youth life.

Auto Mobil specializes in cars for disabled people with advice on buying these kinds of cars, rebuilding a car into a disabled car and renting cars for disabled people on handidrive.dk.

Hero I/S is behind Hero App, an intelligent workwear that makes life easier for dyslexics. Hero brings reading back into everyday life, promotes reading and enables everyone to read what they want.

Hello Software is behind an app that helps refugees and immigrants understand Danish law, bureaucracy and culture.

Cervello assists small and medium-sized municipalities with specialized and flexible neuro-rehabilitation, so that citizens affected by brain damage and their relatives can return to everyday life more quickly.

Twasty is a new food brand based on food waste. The company recreates delicacies and lunch arrangements through food that should have been thrown out.

Elderlearn matches senior citizens with foreigners who are learning Danish. This helps to create well-being, joy and content for the elderly and improve integration opportunities for the foreigner. It is free for both elderly and foreigners to participate, as Elderlearn receives financial support from municipalities and foundations.

Nordic Praxis helps customers understand their need for learning packages by moving them through a variety of learning activities.

RePot wants to replace the general plastic pots for plants with a compostable RePot, which can significantly reduce horticultural plastic consumption and CO2 emissions.

Nabo Farm grows sprouts, watercress and hanging herbs inside. Completely without soil, pesticides and sunlight. And they do so with a technique that causes plants to grow three times as fast as normal, minimizing water consumption by up to 90 percent.
