Refurb A/S exited to Egiss Group
Refurb has been exited to Egiss, one of the world’s leading IT logistics companies.
In January 2020, Den Sociale Kapitalfond Invest became a co-owner of Refurb which, based in Hornslet, is a frontrunner in acquisitions, data erasure, renovation (refurbishment) and sales of used IT equipment with business in Denmark, Norway and Sweden. This provides great environmental value, and at the same time, Refurb is a very, socially responsible company with, in 2022, approx. 25 % of the 55 employees being marginalized citizens.
In recent years, Refurb has undergone a significant strategic development. The company has, among other things, expanded its sourcing channels, increased its productivity, developed its sales channels and updated its ESG reporting. After being adversely affected by the corona epidemic, 2021 was the year of Refurb achieving its best result so far while the number of employees “from the edge of the labour market” has increased.
Egiss has, among other things, requested the ITAD (IT Asset Disposal) profile and ESG competence that Refurb stands for and is a strong match on the further growth journey with great synergy effects and exciting international scales. Refurb will continue with the same management as before as an independent company in the Egiss Group.
