New investment in a green growth company

Tolstrup A/S was established by the brothers Christoffer and Peter Lund together with their dad Peter Lund in 2015 on the family's farm in Tolstrup near Fredericia. Since then, the company has grown significantly. Today, the company has 80 to 100 employees in the peak season, and services municipalities, utilities, housing associations and private companies within green care and winter service, primarily in Jutland and on Funen from offices in Fredericia, Aarhus and Odense.

In addition to high growth rates, the company has also managed to create good bottom-line results and created new opportunities for people from the edge of the labor market in recent years, of which approximately one in six of their employees are from the edge of the labor market.

Tolstrup has also improved their skills in the establishment of areas with biodiversity and is a supplier to municipalities and private business customers, where the company has converted several areas into flower meadows, natural areas and other nature-friendly initiatives.

All because of a strong management, skilled employees and a focus on quality, close customer dialogue and a good and responsible working environment.

Continued high growth potential 

Therefore, Den Sociale Kapitalfond Invest sees an exciting potential in Tolstrup A/S also in the future, says managing partner Lars Jannick Johansen:

For the brothers Christoffer and Peter Lund, the collaboration with Den Sociale Kapitalfond Invest provides new opportunities to take the company to the next level in its development:

In connection with the transaction, Den Sociale Kapitalfond Invest has acquired a majority stake in Tolstrup A/S. Christoffer and Peter Lund will continue as significant shareholders and directors of the company. At the same time, a professional board of directors is established with the experienced businessman Gynther Kohls as chairman. In addition, there will be an opportunity for senior executives in Tolstrup to become shareholders in the company in the future.

The parties agree not to disclose the transaction price.  

In 2021, Tolstrup had a gross profit of more than DKK 33 million and today employs up to 80-100 employees during the high season, of which approximately one in six comes from the edge of the labour market.
